DBT Skills Group: Gaining Control Over Out-of-Control Emotions
This is a skills training group that focuses on how to navigate stress and find greater emotional balance using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In this group, members learn skills for coping with emotional pain, gain a better understanding of their emotions and how they function, and consider how to have more effective relationships with others. DBT skills are particularly helpful for those who have difficulty managing intense emotions, stressful life events, problematic relationships, or controlling impulsive behaviors.
DBT skills are organized across 4 modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
Advanced DBT: Skillful Living
This group is designed for individuals who have completed basic DBT skills training and would like additional support toward building “a life worth living.” This group will provide a supportive environment for applying DBT skills to everyday challenges.
